Race Schedule
The official race schedule is still listed as to be announced. Once it is published, individual start times are posted about three days before the event, and start time changes are not permitted. On-site registration opens 90 minutes before your division's first start wave.
Tickets, Changes and Refunds
As of late October 2026 the official event page says ticket sales start soon. When they open, what you can change later depends on the Flex add-on you choose at checkout:
- No add-on: no changes or refunds after purchase.
- Lite Flex: one name change, no refunds.
- Flex: one name change, a full refund until 31 days before race day and a 50 percent refund until 7 days before.
HYROX is not allowing event transfers or division changes, so pick your division carefully. Charity tickets carry a minimum fundraising amount of $600 for singles, $1,200 per Doubles team and $1,000 per relay team.
Spectators
Spectators need their own ticket. Athlete tickets only cover spectating on the athlete's own race day. To get into the hall before an athlete's check-in window, spectators go to the Spectators Desk with a ticket and ID.
How to Use the Time You Have Left
From late October, Portland is about seven months out. That is plenty of time to build your running base through the winter and peak in spring.
- Now until 8 weeks out: Build the engine. Easy running volume, steady strength work, and regular practice on the movements that cost people the most time: sleds, sandbag lunges and wall balls.
- The final 8 weeks: Switch to a race-specific block. Our 8-week HYROX training plan lays it out week by week, and the race-simulation workouts teach you to run on tired legs.
- Race week: Two short, sharp sessions and plenty of rest.
Write your pacing plan early and test it in training. Our HYROX pacing strategy includes a sample 90-minute breakdown you can adjust to your own times, and our station guides cover the row, sled push and wall balls.
The Hybrid Weight Vest MK2
Weighted runs, step-ups, lunges and push-ups in a vest build the engine and leg drive HYROX asks for. Adjustable plates, from $199.99.

Austen's Race Pointers
Battle Bunker founder Austen Alexander is a Navy veteran and a seven-time HYROX Pro racer. His advice holds whether it is your first race or your fiftieth:
- Don't go out too hot. The first run and the SkiErg feel easy because you are fresh. That is the trap. Hold back early and you will still have legs when the race really starts.
- Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast, especially with your cardiovascular system. Once your heart rate is pinned in the red, getting it back down costs far more time than staying steady would have.
- Take breaks as needed. Do not try to go unbroken on every station. A short planned break on the sleds, the lunges, or the wall balls costs seconds. Blowing up costs minutes.

The Skirmish Training Sandbag
Adjustable from 20 to 40 lb for sandbag lunges, carries and race-simulation work. Made in the USA, $89. Need the 20 or 30 kg bag? The Raider kit goes up to 80 lb.
